Mercedes

C-Class Super Sport Microsite

View the site >

With a concept presented to the client I picked up the project and designed, art directed and oversaw the flash execution of this site.

The offer was clear - a great car at an unbelievable price. The task to highlight the features that backed up the offer and mad the price be an offer that was too good to resist.

With the launch of the website, and online ads that I created at the same time as a TV commercial went to air on a limited media buy the offer was out there. With a limit number of cars brought into the country the offer was truly limited. 400 cars for sold; at $58,990 that works out to just over $23 million worth of cars.

Within the first week the call came in to pull the TV commercial and take down the website, the cars were sold out! $23 million in sales within 10 days. It was the combination of a great offer, advertising that got noticed and clearly explained and supported the offer and easy access to purchase.

Mercedes C-Class
Banner Takeover

Creating a concept that was linked to the TV Commercial that was produced in Europe, I did a storyboard that showed the fluid nature of the new C-Class from Mercedes. The fish would should the fluid nature of the car and as they transformed into the car it would stop in a way that would have it looking strong and powerful with style.

I worked closely with the studio designers to ensure that we had a fluid movement with the fish and that we had the right timing and the correct level of movement in the car as it came to a stop.

I created a number of concepts with very little time. The concept was the mocked up and shown as a 4-6-frame concept. I have animated the mocks to show the ideas moving.

Working with the studio designers, we created a realistic movement of the car as it was driving along the road and then driving out of frame.
